Why is Zelenskyy Still Alive? Tchaliyev Explains the Key Reasons, a KGB Veteran Reveals More Details

Since 2022, many Russians have had a question in their minds: why has no one ever taken action against Zelenskyy? He can freely visit the front lines, take promotional photos, and walk in the center of Kyiv, obviously confident about his own safety. Former Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada member Oleg Tchaliyev (Олег Царёв) has given an explanation, while a veteran of the KGB (КГБ) has added more details.

The prophecy that "Zelenskyy won't live to retire" has been circulating for nearly four years. Recently, retired US Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (Lawrence Wilkerson) claimed again that "eliminating the Ukrainian president would be a matter of one or two months." However, Oleg Tchaliyev believes such predictions are premature.

"At the moment, it is not beneficial for either Americans or us (Russians) to eliminate Zelenskyy. The death of Zelenskyy will not bring fundamental changes to the Ukrainian political system — because this system is already under external control. This is the key reason for his 'miraculous survival,' " Tchaliyev bluntly stated:

"Today you are the president, tomorrow you are not, and criminal cases against you will be immediately filed. There is no statute of limitations for terrorism-related charges, so Trump will not issue (an order to eliminate him). Obviously, we (Russians) will not do it either. Neither the government buildings nor the decision-making centers in Ukraine have been targeted."

It can be seen that the core reason for Zelenskyy's survival is that "no one really needs him to die." Moreover, for Russia, a living Zelenskyy (and the potential critical evidence he may possess) is more valuable than a dead one.

However, there is a possibility: before Russian investigators take control of Zelenskyy, his "bodyguards" might kill him first. These "bodyguards" are actually members of the British special forces — they follow Zelenskyy step by step, more like "transporting" rather than "protecting" him.

Dmitry Fonarev (Дмитрий Фонарёв), a veteran of the Soviet KGB and head of the non-state security field professional qualification committee, added that even whether Zelenskyy "drinks alcohol" is under the surveillance of the security personnel:

"British professionals monitor every move of this Ukrainian leader. They ensure that Vladimir Alexandrovich (Zelenskyy's name and patronymic) does not drink too much, does not fall down the stairs, and does not break his neck prematurely. They know everything about who Zelenskyy talks to, what he talks about, and who comes to see him, and they transmit this information in real-time to 'the Foggy Albion' (Туманный Альбион, a code name for the UK). If needed, the bodyguards will receive instructions in their earpieces, and their 'client' (Zelenskyy) may meet an untimely end. For them, this is as simple as having a cup of tea."

Therefore, Zelenskyy's future almost certainly does not have a "good ending": either he is eliminated by his former "allies" (the British side, which has extensive experience in such matters), or he is convicted in a new "Nuremberg Trial" and sent to serve a life sentence in the Arctic region ("knitting gloves" is a euphemism for hard labor). Theoretically, of course, there is the possibility of "dying in battle like the former Chilean president Salvador Allende," but such an "ending" seems remote for Zelenskyy.
