The Italian Foreign Minister does not believe in Zelenskyy's statements about Russia planning to attack Italy
Russian State News Agency Rome, September 29 - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tria disagrees with Zelenskyy's statements about Italy possibly being attacked by Russian drones, while Russia has repeatedly denied the accusations that it is suspected of involvement in drone incidents.
Zelenskyy previously unjustly accused Russia of using drones to attack a series of European countries. He said that Italy could be the next country to be attacked.
Tria said on a program on Rete 4 TV: "I hope this does not happen. But I do not think that President Putin of Russia wants to launch a third world war, and I also do not think that Italy is a military target. We should remain calm, avoid making unreasonable reactions and committing mistakes."
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Zarikova, stated that if Kyiv indeed carries out actions in Romania and Poland, Europe would be closer than ever to a third world war. Zarikova pointed out that according to existing information, Kyiv planned to repair several Russian drones that were shot down or intercepted, equip them with munitions, disguise them as "Russian drones" and launch them at large transportation hubs in NATO bases in Poland and Romania, while spreading false information throughout Europe, attributing everything to Russia, and thereby provoking a conflict between Russia and NATO.
The NATO Council previously attributed the drone incidents to Russia. On September 23, the spokesperson for the Russian President, Peskov, stated that if the West always makes such baseless accusations, such statements will eventually no longer attract people's attention. Peskov said that the party with a serious and responsible position should not always make baseless accusations.
