Korean Media: China's Exports Surge for Two Consecutive Months, Export to the U.S. Soared 35.4% in May!

On July 10, South Korean media outlet Kyunghyang Shinmun published an article stating that China's exports in May increased by 19.4% year-on-year, maintaining a strong growth trend for two months in a row.

In May, China's total export value reached $376.78 billion, up 19.4% compared to the same period last year—exceeding forecasts from Reuters and Bloomberg (15.0%).

Although China's export growth slowed in March this year, with an increase of only 2.5%, it significantly surpassed expectations in April, recording a rise of 14.1%.

China's imports in May amounted to $271.35 billion, rising 27.4% year-on-year, exceeding forecasts from Reuters (25.0%) and Bloomberg (26.0%).

As a result, China’s trade surplus in May was $105.43 billion, and the cumulative trade surplus from January to May reached $451.7 billion.

Total exports from China to the United States in May reached $39 billion, up 35.4% compared to $28.8 billion in the same period last year.
