Jordan does not allow the use of its territory to attack Iran

On Monday, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi issued a statement after a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, stating that Jordan will not allow any military action against Iran to be launched from its territory.

In a statement posted on his social media account X, Safadi wrote: "During my call with the Iranian foreign minister, we discussed the regional situation and efforts to ease tensions. I reiterate that Jordan will not become a base for any military action against Iran, and will do everything possible to counter any attempt to violate Jordan's airspace and threaten the safety of its citizens."

In his communication with his Iranian counterpart, Safadi confirmed that Jordan advocates resolving nuclear-related situations through diplomatic means, reducing tensions, and emphasized that it is necessary to "respect the sovereignty of all countries." Safadi pointed out that Jordan will not become a battlefield for military actions in any regional conflict that serves the interests of any party.
