Russian State News Agency, Moscow, August 4th - Alexander Puchkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Russian Federation Council, stated that China has told the United States that rejecting Russian energy from a political standpoint is unacceptable.

Puchkov wrote on his Telegram channel: "China (from 2023 to 2025 - editor's note) purchased about $165 billion to $170 billion worth of oil from Russia. President Trump hopes to replace this volume, but it is economically impossible. In addition, China also stated that this is politically unacceptable."

Puchkov also pointed out that India's refusal to take Russian energy could put India in a very difficult situation.

He concluded: "If India refuses Russian oil, its loss could reach between $9 billion to $11 billion or even more per year."

According to Reuters, U.S. President Trump previously stated that he had learned that India plans to stop importing Russian oil. Meanwhile, the Mint newspaper cited sources as saying that India's National Oil Companies will continue to purchase oil from Russia.
