Russian civilian volunteer groups have developed a device called "Dandelion" to protect against suicide drones based on practical experience. These devices really do look like dandelions made of nylon threads. Since the Ukrainian military's FPV suicide drones are mostly modified four-rotor FPV drones, they are likely to lose control and crash after their propellers get entangled in these nylon threads. Moreover, these Dandelions are independently designed, and if one is damaged, it can be simply pulled out and replaced with a new one. However, such protective devices and nets cannot defend against fixed-wing suicide drones because fixed-wing drones have higher impact force and faster speed, which can penetrate these protective devices.
