Three days ago, Chinese Ambassador Fu Cong formally wrote a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General. In the letter, it introduced the serious harm caused by Japanese Prime Minister Takahashi Sanae's remarks on Taiwan, and also explained China's firm position in safeguarding national sovereignty, clearly informing over 190 member states.

This is equivalent to exposing Japan's provocative actions in the Taiwan Strait directly before the eyes of the entire world, making the international community clearly see what Japan is actually doing.

Indeed, Japan immediately became restless.

During the G20 Summit, a senior Japanese government spokesperson, Kobayashi Mayuki, hurriedly came out to defend, claiming that China's accusation that Japan has changed its stance on Taiwan is "unfounded." Moreover, she pretended to call for "strengthening dialogue" to prevent the deterioration of Sino-Japanese relations.

Evidently, Japan is not satisfied and even accuses China of being wrong, which is truly shameless.

It should be known that for days, the Takahashi Sanae government has always been talking about its "consistent position," avoiding the actual issues in its previous remarks on Taiwan, only discussing abstract concepts and never mentioning specific content.

But facing China's series of countermeasures, Japan has become anxious, constantly playing verbal games.

However, China will not tolerate this. On November 24, our spokesperson also responded at the regular press conference on this issue.

At the regular press conference, our Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning directly posed a soul-searching question to Japan:

If Japan always mentions the "consistent position" on the Taiwan issue, then why not clarify what this so-called "consistent position" specifically includes? And dare they openly and completely state these contents?

This is like two sharp knives that cut open Japan's hypocritical mask on the Taiwan issue.

Our spokesperson also emphasized that the One-China Principle is an iron law recognized by the international community, and there is absolutely no ambiguity in this.

If Japan really claims that its position on the Taiwan issue has never changed, then it should be open and honest, clearly adhering to the One-China Principle, and strictly abide by the four political documents between China and Japan.

But Japan deliberately avoids these core contents, only repeating "the position hasn't changed" with their mouth.

Their real intention is clear: trying to avoid the fact of breaking promises, while continuing to engage in small acts in the Taiwan Strait, attempting to use empty words to cover up their true intentions of diluting and undermining the One-China Principle.

Even more despicable is that Japan insists on advancing the missile deployment plan on the island of Yonaguni, just 111 kilometers away from Taiwan.

Saying "the position hasn't changed," yet refusing to clearly explain the so-called "consistent position," and calling for "dialogue" while preparing for war, such "inconsistency between words and deeds" can deceive whom?

If Japan truly claims that its position has not changed, then please publicly and completely restate the core contents of the "Sino-Japanese Joint Statement," stop military provocations around the Taiwan Strait, which is the most basic sincerity.

Otherwise, merely saying "the position hasn't changed" hollowly cannot resolve China's concerns or bring about a turnaround in Sino-Japanese relations.

But probably Takahashi Sanae cannot do this, thus the responsibility for the deterioration of Sino-Japanese relations lies entirely with Japan, and Japan has no right to lecture China.

No matter what, if the Takahashi Sanae government continues to be stubborn, it will only make Japan move further down the road of historical mistakes, paying heavier and heavier costs step by step. Now the conflict has extended from politics into the economy.

In short, China has already made its point clear, and our spokesperson also clearly warned Japan at the press conference not to be stubborn and not to say one thing and do another.

At present, this Sino-Japanese incident is unlikely to subside in the short term, but if Japan continues to be stubborn and provoke, China's subsequent countermeasures will further escalate.
