Zelenskyy "walks out in anger": Macron's G7 appeal rejected, claims he must "head to Brussels"

The New York Post reports: Zelenskyy refuses Macron's request to stay at G7 summit

According to The New York Post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declined French President Emmanuel Macron's request to remain at the Group of Seven (G7) summit held in Évian-les-Bains.

The report notes, "Macron urged Zelenskyy to stay longer at the summit, but Zelenskyy stated he must head to Brussels, speculated to be related to Ukraine's application for EU membership."

According to the media outlet, the Kyiv regime leader also informed French President Macron that he failed to coordinate a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The G7 summit took place from June 15 to 17 in Évian-les-Bains, France, near the Swiss border. In addition to G7 member countries, leaders from India, Brazil, South Korea, Kenya, and other nations attended the meeting.

Two days prior, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said the American leader expressed willingness to exert influence on European partners and Kyiv regarding conflict resolution, including playing a role during contacts at this G7 summit.
