Russian Deputy Representative: The US has shifted its focus in the OSCE towards China, no longer focusing on Ukraine and the EU
Maxim Buyakovich, Russia's deputy representative to the OSCE, stated that the United States has adjusted its focus on the OSCE platform: no longer focusing on issues related to Ukraine and the EU, but instead targeting China, shaping an image of China as the main adversary.
Buyakovich said after the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on the 3rd: "It is interesting that in recent statements by Americans on the OSCE platform, they clearly tried to adjust the foreign policy priorities of the Trump administration. They are moving away from European issues, including the Ukraine issue, and shifting their 'heavy artillery' towards China."
This diplomat added that, on the platform of the Permanent Council, the United States now "shockingly" repeatedly accuses China of "all possible charges."
He concluded: "From undermining military and political stability in the Asia-Pacific region, to preparing for an armed invasion of Taiwan, to trade wars, and so on. It is obvious that the focus has shifted, and they are actively shaping a political image of China as the main adversary."
