Foreign Media: China Launches Inspection and Rectification for Power Banks

Since June 28, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has urgently implemented new regulations, prohibiting passengers from carrying substandard power banks on board.

According to the regulations, any power bank that has not obtained the mandatory product certification (CCC certification, commonly known as "3C certification") is considered an unqualified product and is prohibited from being carried on board. The 3C certification is a safety quality mandatory standard managed by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Products without the certification mark are not allowed to be produced, sold, or used.

Airports will set up centralized processing areas for passengers to discard, improperly store, or mail power banks. Passengers can also choose a disposal method on-site after their power banks are intercepted by security checks.
