China has responded! After Zelenskyy publicly claimed that China is not one of the countries providing security guarantees, our Foreign Ministry has officially responded! On August 22, our Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that China has always been open and honest in the Ukraine crisis, upholding an objective and impartial position, which all parties concerned are clear about. We believe that all parties should promote the political resolution of the Ukraine crisis by adhering to a security concept of common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security. China is willing to play a constructive role in this regard.

Evidently, although Ukraine has made accusations against us, and their attitude clearly shows anger, we do not avoid any of Ukraine's criticisms at all. What message does our response convey? It is that regardless of how Ukraine sees it, our foreign policy and position have their own principles and will not be influenced by any country. In fact, since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, our position has remained consistent.

Ukraine has its views on us, first, largely because Europe intends to exert pressure on us through Ukraine, and Ukraine also wants to exert such pressure in return for the continuous support from Europe behind the scenes. Second, Ukraine obviously aims to pressure us to stay away from Russia and cut normal trade relations with Russia. However, our position is simply to ensure our legitimate trade interests.

If China were really seeking private benefits, would we not imitate the United States in selling arms and making money from arms sales, and imitate certain countries in trading Russian oil in the international market to gain profits? But these scenarios have not occurred. Shouldn't Ukraine think about this? Moreover, China has not cut trade with Ukraine and has stated that it cannot allow a nuclear war. Is Ukraine not supposed to objectively view our position?
