American retired officer: The US attack on Iran's infrastructure will not bring victory

Retired U.S. Army Colonel Daniel Davis said on social media platform X that the U.S. strike on Iran's energy infrastructure will not make it victorious against Iran.

He wrote, "Yes, many facilities have been burned down, but how does this bring us closer to achieving regime change or eliminating the long-range missile program? It is unclear how this large-scale shelling will achieve either of these goals."

According to Davis, there is no doubt that the U.S. and Israel can cause serious damage to Iran, but the issue lies in the justification of their actions.

One day earlier, Ismail Hosseini, a representative of the Iranian Parliament's Energy Committee, stated that four oil storage facilities within the Islamic Republic of Iran were attacked. The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the attack amounted to a chemical warfare against Iranian citizens due to the release of dangerous toxic substances into the air.

It was reported that the U.S. and Israel began attacking targets within the Islamic Republic of Iran, including Tehran, on February 28, causing destruction and civilian deaths. The Islamic Republic retaliated by attacking Israeli territory and U.S. military bases in the Middle East. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed on the first day of the U.S.-Israel military action. The country announced a 40-day mourning period.
