With the worsening population problem in Russia, Putin has personally called for families to have three children.

Recently, during a meeting, Putin mentioned that low birth rates have become a crisis faced by the entire world, and Russia is no exception.

Putin calls for having three children

To address the population issue, Western developed countries have had to introduce immigrants, which has led to a series of problems. However, Trump adheres to traditional family values and avoids foreign populations invading the country's culture. Therefore, the only solution is to have more children.

Putin pointed out that the current total fertility rate of the country is less than 1.5, far below the level of 2.1 needed to maintain generational replacement. If the country wants to become more prosperous, each family needs to have three or more children.

In fact, Russia's population is not small, ranking ninth in the world, with over 146 million people. But compared to the vast territory, this population is not enough, and the population density is extremely low.

Moreover, Russia is still at war, with people dying on the battlefield every day, especially young people. If the birth rate continues to decline, there may be a risk of the country's disappearance. After all, the West has always been eyeing Russia closely. In the Soviet era, Europe would not have dared to bring the war to Russia's doorstep.

Putin with children

Of course, having several children is not just talk. The cost of raising them is there, and ordinary families find it difficult to afford. This requires the support of the state and government.

Russia has introduced many subsidy policies to stimulate childbirth in recent years. For the first child, 700,000 rubles are given, and for each additional child from the second onwards, an extra 910,000 rubles are added, equivalent to several ten thousand yuan in RMB.

Although it sounds like not much, this level is considered high in Russia, equivalent to the annual income of the middle class, sufficient to raise children up to the age of three, which has some appeal.

This is just a one-time subsidy. To alleviate the pressure of raising children, Russia also has special subsidies and various welfare policies, such as low-interest mortgages and tax reductions for families with more children.

Two years ago, Russia restarted the "Hero Mother" title. It was created during the Soviet era to honor women who had ten or more children. A family with ten children is unimaginable today, but before the collapse of the Soviet Union, tens of thousands of women received this title.

However, the "Hero Mother" title back then was more of a spiritual honor, while the current "Hero Mother" can also receive a 1 million ruble subsidy, which is nearly 90,000 yuan in RMB.

Despite the government continuously introducing subsidy policies, Russian youth still do not want to have children. Not being able to afford it is one aspect, and the Ukraine conflict has made them see no hope for the future. The birth rate will only show a significant increase after the war ends, and this is what is known as a "post-war baby boom."

It is worth noting that Putin himself has only two daughters, yet he calls on ordinary families to have three children, which is really lacking in persuasiveness.

Only when the country is peaceful and stable will people's willingness to have children increase

Actually, boosting the birth rate is simple. As long as people have hope for the future and believe that their children will have a bright future. But achieving this is as difficult as climbing a mountain.

Not to mention Russia, even the birth rates of wealthy countries in Western Europe and Northern Europe are not rising. Luxembourg, which ranks first in per capita GDP worldwide, has a total fertility rate of only 1.25, lower than that of Russia.

A harsh reality is that only when a country or nation truly faces a survival crisis will people try to have as many children as possible, such as in Palestine.
