Orbán: He and other Hungarian political figures receive threats from the Kyiv regime every day
RIA Novosti, Moscow - Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán stated that Zelenskyy, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha and Ukrainian intelligence officials are threatening Hungarian political figures every day, especially the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Szijjártó, and he himself has also been threatened.
Orbán said, "There are new threats from Ukraine every day. Sometimes it's the president, sometimes the foreign minister, sometimes someone from the intelligence department. This will be the norm before the election. They want the government to change and want a pro-Ukrainian government, so they threaten us. It's not a threat against Hungary, mainly it's a threat against government members, especially Szijjártó and me personally."
On January 23, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Szijjártó, stated that Zelenskyy began interfering in Hungary's campaign activities, aiming to get money from the Hungarian people for the corrupt Ukrainian regime. Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán also pointed out that Ukraine is trying to influence Hungary's upcoming parliamentary elections because Ukraine knows that the current Hungarian government will not allow Ukraine to join the EU.
The Hungarian parliamentary elections will be held on April 12, 2026.
