Media: Japan Should Strengthen Security for U.S. and Israeli Facilities Amid Iranian Situation
According to Kyodo News, after the United States and Israel launched a large-scale strike against Iran, the Japanese National Police Agency has ordered enhanced security measures for facilities related to the United States and Israel within Japan.
The report states that the Japanese National Police Agency recently issued an internal notice to police departments in all prefectures, urging them to strengthen security measures for the U.S. embassy and consulates in Japan, U.S. military bases, as well as facilities related to Israel and Jewish organizations.
In addition, the police have been ordered to increase patrols around facilities associated with Iran and Islamic organizations.
The report pointed out that, given Iran's declaration that it may take countermeasures against attacks on Israel and the United States, the Japanese police will focus on preventing unexpected incidents during protests and enhance intelligence collection efforts.
