The Foreign Minister of Iran: Assassination of Khamenei has "opened the Pandora's Box"
A letter from Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi obtained by Sputnik shows that the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has "opened the Pandora's Box." The consequences of this attack are far-reaching.
In his letter to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, members of the UN Security Council, and foreign ministers of UN member states, he wrote:
"Intentional attacks on high-ranking Iranian officials have been an unprecedented violation of the most basic principles of relations between states. This act not only violates established principles of international law but also recklessly opens a dangerous 'Pandora's Box,' undermining the foundation of sovereignty equality and the stability of the international system."
He also called the assassination of Khamenei an act of terrorism by the United States and Israel.
