Zelenskyy appoints Kryvonozhko as Air Force Commander!
On August 3, Zelenskyy appointed Major General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko as the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.
"Today, I appoint Major General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko as the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force."
Regarding the Ukrainian Air Force, Zelenskyy expressed high hopes: "Most importantly, the operational aviation and air defense of Ukraine continue to develop in a comprehensive and effectively coordinated manner through the joint efforts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, our partner teams, and professional experts who wish Ukraine to be strong and achieve victory."
On August 30, 2024, Zelenskyy removed Mykola Oleshchuk from his position, and since then, the position of the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force has been vacant.
