North York Regional Police issued a notice stating that during the Victoria Day long weekend, an armed home invasion occurred in the Richmond Hill Bayview and Elgin Mills residential areas. Four gang members violently broke down the door to commit robbery.

According to York Regional Police, the incident occurred around 3:30 AM on May 19, near a residence located at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Ambler Lane (south of Elgin Mills).

According to police, four suspects (at least one of whom was armed with a firearm) forcibly entered the residence, confronted the homeowner, and demanded money.

The surveillance footage from the porch captured the scene of the four suspects violently breaking down the door.

In the beginning, one of the suspects in white tried to cover the camera with his hand, while another attempted to kick open the front door but failed.

This white-clothed suspect, seeing that his partner couldn't break through, simply ignored it and did not obstruct the camera on the doorbell, instead kicking the door three times himself until it finally gave way. Subsequently, you can see the four suspects entering the house.

After entering the room, the four gang members confronted the homeowner and demanded money.

No casualties were reported in the case.

The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan, with the fifth suspect driving the car. Since the fifth suspect remained inside the vehicle, no description could be provided at this time.
