Toronto Indian international students are about to start another protest, challenging the new government on June 1st!

Yesterday, Indian international students who had been silent for a while in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) made their voices heard again.

The Naujawan Support Network (NSN), an organization based in Peel Region of the GTA for international students and work permit holders, released a video stating: "We're back!"

This time, they publicly called on work permit and study permit holders facing illegal overstays to unite and question the new government about what they plan to do with expiring work permits.

"Hello everyone. As we said in January, we took a break and now we're back with new strategies. With the new government in Canada, here we are again!"

"We announce our new approach: we're planning a new strategy in June, and we call on all those whose visas will expire or have already expired to join us! This way, we can ask the new government: what are they going to do about expiring work permits."

"We're also here to help you understand the immigration pathways available to stay, and we announce that we will take action in Brampton on June 1st. We'll soon release the exact time!"

After the Canadian federal government began tightening immigration and study policies last summer, NSN members set up camp near the highways in Brampton, most of them from India. The scale and duration of their protests were astonishing!

But when the extremely cold weather hit in January this year, the organizers held a press conference, stating that they made a "difficult decision" to temporarily close the campsite.

However, the organizers emphasized that although the campsite is closed, their protests will never stop, and they are preparing to "change strategies," insisting they will not back down.

Now that the weather is warming up and the new federal government has taken office, they're back! This time, they claim to be coming back with new strategies to "fight" the new Liberal government. The organization began planning new strategies and demands this month and issued a call yesterday.
