Russian media: US and Ukraine may reach a "super deal"!
The United States hopes to gain drone combat experience from Ukraine.
On July 19, the Russian newspaper Pravda published an article.
The United States is accelerating the retirement of the B-1B strategic bomber, which were recently considered symbols of military superiority. Figure 1
According to The National Interest, due to the strengthening of Russia's and China's air defense systems, the stealthiness of these aircraft has become insufficient in modern conflicts.
In place of them comes the new B-21, and the Americans plan to use it to secretly penetrate dense air defense areas. Figure 2
Political scientist Spartak Baranovski pointed out in his commentary that the cancellation of the B-1B is not just a technical step, but part of a broader adaptation by the United States for potential confrontation with Russia and China.
But currently, the focus is particularly on the field of drones, where the Americans have less practical experience than expected.
Against this background, according to sources in political circles, discussions are underway about a possible "super deal" between Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelenskyy.
The United States is reportedly seeking to gain drone combat experience under active conflict conditions from Ukraine, in exchange for providing technology, production capabilities, and support.
This model could become a way for the Pentagon to accelerate preparation for larger-scale conflicts.
However, Baranovski doubts the effectiveness of Ukrainian experience: Kyiv lags behind Russia in some aspects of drones, and the technological gap with China is growing.
Against this background, Washington's actions - including a potential agreement with Kyiv - may be seen as an attempt to bridge the gap.
However, experts believe that the era of strong pressure backed by heavy aviation is ending, and the previous strategic stability is disintegrating.
