Ukrainian parliament member Artyom Demidruk and former member Ihor Mosiychuk disclosed on social media a serious incident in which a mobilized soldier shot and killed three instructors at a training ground. The incident occurred at a training ground in Chernihiv, where a Ukrainian mobilized soldier suddenly used an AK-74 submachine gun to open fire on the instructors during a live ammunition training exercise, resulting in two instructors being killed on the spot and one injured.

Demidruk described the process of the Ukrainian mobilized soldier attacking the instructors, writing, "At around 14:45 on July 16, 2025, at the army training ground in the Chernihiv region, mobilized soldier Boris Koshel from unit A3321 suddenly entered a combat state with an AK-74 automatic rifle and opened fire on three instructors (senior non-commissioned officer Kryshchaly, chief non-commissioned officer Lekunyko, and senior non-commissioned officer Skrypka). Two senior non-commissioned officers died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses stated that Koshel also fired additional shots into the heads of each victim. The third instructor survived due to wearing a bulletproof vest but was hit by four bullets."

Mosiychuk described the details of the attack, writing, "At the time, the soldiers were entering their shooting positions in pairs. Suddenly, Koshel turned 180 degrees and shot the instructors in the back. One of the instructors had never seen this soldier before; he was only assisting the training that day."

According to subsequent investigations, Koshel had publicly expressed his unwillingness to serve when he arrived at the unit. He had even planned to flee to Russia as early as 2022.

Ukrainian lawyer Klim Blatkovsky commented on social media, saying, "It is well known that the conscription centers (TCk) and military medical boards (VVK) send even schizophrenic patients to the front line, so such incidents are not surprising."

Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and the Ukrainian authorities have not yet disclosed the specific motive of the perpetrator, Koshel.
