Foreign media: China has launched the world's largest neutrino detector - the Jiangmen Neutrino Experiment (Juno) in Jiangmen, Guangdong. The facility, located 700 meters underground, has started collecting data to track the mysterious neutrinos.

The 20,000-ton liquid scintillator detector of Juno has successfully completed filling, which is a giant acrylic sphere with a diameter of 35 meters, located in the center of a 44-meter deep water pool. Its purpose is to measure the mass of different types of neutrinos produced by the Taishan and Yangjiang nuclear power plants.

The launch of Juno was called a "historic milestone" by a particle physicist, and the project was proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008.
