China's new tank first achieves透视 armor, which is absurd

The recently unveiled new generation of Chinese tanks seems to be equipped with an augmented reality (AR) head-mounted display system, meaning that China's new tank has achieved透视 armor for the first time.

Through multiple high-definition cameras and situational awareness sensors mounted around the hull, the AR head-mounted display can directly project a 360-degree panoramic view into the crew's field of vision.

The commander, driver, and gunner can see through the armored vehicle to obtain real-time information about the external environment. They can also overlay key data such as target information, vehicle status, and ammunition levels on the AR interface, significantly improving situational awareness and response speed.

This means that tank crew members are no longer limited to traditional periscopes and limited windows, but instead have a comprehensive field of view and data support similar to that of air force pilots' helmets.

It is speculated that there is something even more absurd: this new type of tank's AR system not only provides visual enhancement, but also directly integrates weapon control functions.

The gunner only needs to turn their head or look at the target, and the turret will automatically track and lock on, achieving a head-motion aiming operation similar to that of the US Apache helicopter.

In addition, the AR head-mounted display is built-in with a mission data link, which can receive real-time information transmitted back by drones and other battlefield sensors, allowing tank crews to see a wider range of reconnaissance footage within the vehicle.

Through this method, the tank is no longer just a single firepower platform, but is upgraded into a battlefield information node. It can share target intelligence and quickly respond to collaborative combat requirements. This highly integrated system significantly reduces the cognitive load on operators and allows different crew positions to switch flexibly between driving, shooting, and command.

For future urban warfare, high-density drone battlefields, and cross-regional rapid deployment scenarios, the emergence of this new type of tank will completely change the operational model of China's armored forces, and it also means that China's ground forces have already taken the lead in terms of informatization and networking worldwide.
