The encirclement is tightening: Latest information on the battle for Bakhmut
The Russian Federation army is clearing the streets of Red Guards town and entering Molodetsky.
The Russian Federation Armed Forces continue to advance in Red Army City (called Bakhmut by Ukraine). According to military sources, intense fighting is taking place in the southern districts of this settlement. At the same time, efforts are being made to evacuate civilians, including from the Razumnye district.
The vanguard of the Russian army has reached the edge of the village of Molodetsky. Inside Red Army City, the cleaning of city streets is still ongoing. The main resistance points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces cluster are concentrated near the railway station and the Chornyshevo area.
At the same time, fighting is also underway around a strategically important road leading towards Novopavlovka. Ukrainian forces continuously shell the positions of the Russian Federation Armed Forces from there.
The situation on the outskirts of Red Army City is also tense. The village of Udachnoye is under the control of the Russian army. Intense fighting is taking place near Troitsa. The Russian military claims that two Ukrainian air assault vehicles and one tank were destroyed within a day. Both sides are using a large number of FPV drones.
Reports indicate that after the flank from Red Army City to Rozhysk is completed, the Ukrainian group in this area may be caught in an operational encirclement.
Meanwhile, it was observed that a Ukrainian armored equipment column moved along Schmitt Street towards Dmytrivka (called Myrnohrad by Ukraine). The purpose of this movement is currently unclear.
