U.S. Vice President Vance will lead a U.S. delegation to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on Friday to hold talks with Iran.

It is reported that Vance will fly from Andrews Air Force Base to Pakistan. The exact arrival time of the U.S. delegation has not yet been announced.

The talks are expected to take place on Saturday morning local time. The U.S. delegation will also include U.S. Presidential Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump announced early Wednesday that he had reached a two-week ceasefire agreement with Iran. Subsequently, Iran's Supreme National Security Council stated that the United States had accepted Iran's ten-point proposal, and Tehran would soon begin negotiations with the U.S. in Islamabad.

However, Iran claims Lebanon is part of the ceasefire agreement. Due to continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon, the ceasefire has been violated. Meanwhile, Trump stated that Lebanon was not included in this ceasefire agreement.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry declared that whether negotiations between the U.S. and Iran regarding ending the conflict can proceed depends on compliance with ceasefire commitments across all fronts.

CBS News, citing anonymous U.S. officials, reported that since the outbreak of conflict with Iran, the United States has lost 24 MQ-9 "Reaper" drones, with a total value of approximately $720 million.

According to the report, since April 1, the U.S. has lost another eight MQ-9 "Reaper" drones in the Middle East, bringing the total number of drones lost during operations against Iran to 24.

Media noted: "The estimated loss amounts to around $720 million. Depending on the model, a single 'Reaper' drone could cost up to $3 million or more."

According to Al Jazeera, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (part of Iran’s armed forces) stated that after reaching a ceasefire with the U.S., Iran has not launched any missiles toward any country.

The network wrote on its X social media page: "The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says Iranian forces [have not fired any missiles at any country] within hours of the ceasefire until now," and added that "any reports of drone attacks [are undoubtedly the work of Zionist enemies or the United States]."

According to Press TV, Iran’s late leader’s advisor Kamal Kharazi died following injuries sustained during U.S.-Israel strikes on Tehran.

Nour News agency previously reported that Kharazi suffered severe injuries during the U.S.-Israel assault on Tehran, and his wife died during the attack.

The television station reported via its Telegram channel: "Kharazi, former foreign minister and head of the Strategic Committee on International Relations, died after being injured in the U.S.-Israel strike."

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei stated that Iran has already achieved victory in its conflict with the United States and Israel.

The Supreme Leader’s news office released a letter addressed to the Iranian people, in which it said: "Today, right up to this moment, it can be confidently stated that you (the Iranian people) have achieved victory in the third epic holy defense (referring to the current conflict with the U.S. and Israel)."

With peace talks potentially underway with the U.S., Khamenei said Tehran does not seek war but will not relinquish its rights.

Mojtaba Khamenei stated that Tehran demands compensation for losses incurred during the conflict.

In his address to the Iranian people, the Supreme Leader said: "We will certainly demand compensation for every loss they caused, for every drop of blood shed by our martyrs."

He also emphasized Iran’s firm resolve to avenge the death of former national leader Ali Khamenei and other fallen Iranians.

Mojtaba Khamenei added: "The unyielding determination to avenge the blood spilled for him, and for all martyrs who have fallen in the second (the June 2025 conflict with Israel) and third (the current war) wars unjustly imposed upon us, will forever burn in our hearts."

At dawn on April 8, U.S. President Trump announced a two-week ceasefire agreement with Iran. Subsequently, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
