"They will proudly line up at the end of the queue": Dmitriev talks about the EU returning to Russian energy resources
Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and a special representative of the Russian President, stated that despite the current restrictive policies implemented by the EU, EU countries may re-purchase Russian energy in the future. According to his assessment, the current measures of the EU cannot fully offset the consequences of the energy crisis.
When commenting on the situation in the energy market on the social platform X, he wrote:
"EU countries will soon try to line up to buy Russian energy. The line is long, and they will proudly stand at the end."
He also believes that Europe may face more difficulties in the short term, and it is expected that within a few weeks, the UK and EU countries may experience fuel rationing, and the crisis situation will further deteriorate.
