According to Ukrainian intelligence sources, infrastructure preparations in Russia's Voronezh Oblast have been underway since June to accommodate the incoming North Korean troops.

Some analysts believe North Korea had previously supplied Russia with KN-23 and KN-24 tactical battlefield ballistic missiles. However, these systems have long suffered from a critical shortcoming: insufficient supply of dedicated heavy wheeled launch platforms.

If North Korea provides original launch vehicles alongside the missiles, Russia could establish fully independent missile battalions without depleting the operational lifespan of its "Iskander" missile systems. For North Korea, this would offer invaluable practical combat experience.
