Tingting's resignation from the chairmanship does not affect her status as the leader of the Pheu Thai Party!
At 9 a.m. on October 22, Sornwara Thongtub, the secretary-general of the Pheu Thai Party, said after a parliamentary session that Tingting invited the party's members to a meeting today to explain her decision and reasons for resigning from the chairmanship. All matters today were within the plan on October 7, with the purpose of preparing for future elections.
When asked whether Tingting would continue to work for the party, Sornwara said that the former prime minister is still a member of the Pheu Thai Party and the leader, will continue to be with the party, and will become a pillar for the upcoming election.
Regarding how Tingting explained the reason for her resignation to the members of parliament, Sornwara said that it is well known that Tingting has been ruled by the Constitutional Court on moral issues, and she hopes to save the party by resigning from the position of party leader.
When asked whether this incident would affect the situation within the party, Sornwara said, "No, in fact, whoever is the leader of the party, Tingting has always been there. We have heard the voice of the people and the voices of the party members. Everything must move forward. The leader herself has made sacrifices, resigning but remaining in the party."
