Russian MP: Providing "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine is equivalent to launching a missile war against Russia
Russian State News Agency, Moscow, October 8 - Russian Federation Council member Alexei Pushkov stated that the intention of providing "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine is essentially equivalent to launching an unlimited missile war against Russia.
Previously, US President Donald Trump said he had "basically made a decision" to provide "Tomahawk" cruise missiles to Ukraine, but wanted to know how Kyiv plans to use these weapons. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously pointed out that Kyiv using "Tomahawk" missiles would harm US-Russia relations. He emphasized that it would be impossible to use these missiles in Ukraine without direct involvement of American soldiers.
Pushkov announced on his Telegram channel: "The current decision to provide 'Tomahawk' missiles to Ukraine is equivalent to a path leading to an unlimited missile war against Russia and further escalation of the situation, which will make finding a way out more difficult. Has Donald Trump considered this?"
He also pointed out that Ukraine currently lacks platforms to launch these missiles.
He added: "Secondly, who will be responsible for missile targeting and flight control? The Ukrainian army does not have this capability. This means that the actual operator will be Americans."
Third, what targets are these missiles with a range of 2,500 kilometers planned to strike? Fourth, how many 'Tomahawk' missiles does the US plan to sell to Europe for use in Ukraine?"
