Yahoo Japan: China Imposes Anti-Dumping Measures on Brandy from the EU

Yahoo Japan, Beijing, July 4th. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced today that it will impose anti-dumping duties on imported related brandy products originating from the EU, starting from July 5th, with duty rates ranging from 16.1% to 34.9%, and the implementation period will be five years.

According to the information, this anti-dumping measure is a decision made by the Ministry of Commerce after investigating the dumping behavior of the EU's brandy industry in accordance with the law. The investigation showed that the relevant brandy products from the EU were dumped, causing substantial damage to China's domestic industry.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that China has always adhered to the principle of fair trade, and this measure is aimed at safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of China's brandy industry and maintaining a fair competitive market environment. China is willing to work with the EU to properly resolve trade disputes through dialogue and consultation, and jointly maintain the healthy development of Sino-European economic and trade relations.
