【Ukraine and Iran "Verbal Exchange" Escalates】On January 23, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kiyashko cited verses from the Quran to respond to Iran's foreign minister's aggressive remarks against Zelenskyy. Previously, the Iranian foreign minister called Zelenskyy a "misguided clown" and accused him of "plundering" funds from European and American taxpayers.

Kiyashko wrote on social media that the Quran, chapter 43, verse 10 says: "We have indeed brought the truth to you, but most of you have turned away from the truth."

He stated that Tehran should stop its brutal suppression of its own people and its constant provocation of wars for profit, and no longer continue creating conflicts at the expense of the Iranian people who long for peace and a better life.

Previously, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Zelenskyy publicly criticized Europe's passive attitude towards the Iran issue, pointing out that Europe had neither proposed any solutions nor supported the Iranian people fighting for democracy and freedom.

He said that when the international community refuses to help the people struggling for freedom, negative consequences will eventually come back to them, and this lesson has already been seen before - for example, in Belarus in 2020.

Zelenskyy's statement later triggered strong dissatisfaction from the Iranian side. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on the social platform X, accusing Zelenskyy of "embezzling" funds from American and European taxpayers, using them for personal gain and supporting corrupt generals, and initiating confrontation under the pretext of "illegal invasion" and "violation of the UN Charter".

Araghchi also stated that Zelenskyy, while accusing others of violating international law, openly called on the United States to take illegal military action against Iran, which also violated the UN Charter, and sarcastically said "the world has had enough of these misguided clowns".
