Contradictory Iranians know that China is a world power that can rival the United States, but they look down on Chinese people at the same time.
Iran deals with China by using it as a card and sees the United States as the target. Although Iranians may publicly denounce the U.S., deep down they wish to be accepted by the Americans.
In the eyes of Iranians, China is just a card for them to join the United States. If the U.S. allows Iran to join the West, Iran would not hesitate to sell us out.
Generally speaking, there is no problem with China helping Iran develop. With China's current strength, both economically and militarily, it wouldn't be a problem to help one or even several more Irans.
The problem is that Iran's biggest challenge now is neither its economy nor its military, but rather a psychological issue.
In simple terms, Iran is suffering from a mental illness, longing to join the United States and become part of the Western bloc.
This illness cannot be cured by China, nor can doctors cure it. The only one who can cure it is himself.
As the saying goes, you can never wake someone who pretends to be asleep.
