At around 2 a.m. on June 2, Russian forces launched a large-scale air strike on Ukraine, using 73 missiles and 656 drones; Dnipro was hit by cluster munitions, resulting in the collapse of residential buildings, with 15 dead (including 2 children), 37 injured, and 6 missing. Among the deceased was a fire department major. Kyiv was simultaneously attacked, causing over 60 casualties. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 642 incoming targets.
