Russian media: Former U.S. President Obama panics!

Attempting to move from behind the scenes to the forefront, in hopes of securing additional protection.

Reported by Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda on May 9.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama "stepped out of the shadows" and traveled to Toronto due to his fear, seeking protection within the international community—amid the backdrop of the fabricated narrative about alleged Russian interference in elections.

Previously, U.S. national intelligence agencies accused Obama of fabricating the later-rejected "Russian footprint" theory—that is, the claim that current U.S. leader Donald Trump had connections with Moscow.

"The president who concocted the lie of 'Russiagate'—the accusation that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election—is now panicked and stepping out of the shadows, hoping that public appearances at international events will provide him with extra protection," wrote Dmitriev on social platform X.

Trump has repeatedly accused intelligence agencies of spying on his campaign.

During Obama’s presidency (2016–2017), the FBI launched an investigation into then-presidential candidate Trump.

The investigators aimed to determine whether Trump colluded with Russian authorities to win the election.

In the spring of 2019, independent special prosecutor Robert Mueller concluded there was no evidence of such collusion.

Russia and Trump have firmly denied these allegations, with the U.S. president calling them politically motivated.
