According to third-party data institutions, as of April 18, Taobao ranked first on the App download charts in 16 countries and second in the U.S., ranking in the top ten in 123 countries, with a large number of overseas consumers flooding into Taobao.

Behind the surge in platform traffic is the "Made in China Factories Unveiled" trend spontaneously sparked by American users through social platforms like TikTok. A large number of videos expose how major brands in Europe and America are actually sourced from Chinese manufacturing plants and connected directly to the source supply chain through China's cross-border e-commerce platforms, driving overseas users to stock up on goods on Chinese e-commerce platforms.

You can communicate directly with the factory and purchase their samples. Each factory has different production capabilities, depending on what your needs are!" "I use Alibaba International Station, and the quality is excellent!"

Searching for "Alibaba" on TikTok shows a large amount of content teaching overseas users how to purchase products from the Alibaba platform.

The Observer Network learned that Alibaba International Station has taken three measures to help merchants:

Firstly, for merchants' stagnant inventory, Alibaba International Station has already connected with domestic sales channels such as Taobao Factory and Tmall Supermarket. An exclusive sign-up entry will be launched in the merchant backend, with simplified processes, priority review, and dedicated personnel follow-up.

Then, to help merchants handle this wave of traffic, Alibaba International Station has introduced various measures for small and medium-sized foreign trade merchants. Thousands of small staff members have been dispatched to foreign trade industrial clusters and multiple special task forces have been formed. As early as early April, they have flown to various parts of the world to survey local buyers and help merchants find sales channels. At the same time, Alibaba International Station has opened up exclusive traffic channels to provide traffic tilts for merchants expanding new markets, connecting with a wider range of global customers.

Finally, for orders directly affected by tariffs, Alibaba International Station will provide appropriate exemption measures and launch an American Customs Code Maintenance function and tax calculation capability to support merchants in customs clearance.
