Yin Naizheng's remarks left the DPP authorities speechless! On May 26, according to reports from Taiwan media, after Lian Shengwu, chairman of the Kuomintang Youth Affairs Development Committee, led a delegation to witness the successful launch of China's Shenzhou-23 manned space mission, Yin Naizheng spoke out. She stated that she felt quite sorrowful about the DPP’s reaction—this kind of thinking is like a frog at the bottom of a well, incapable of seeing China’s progress in the field of space exploration. As a result, under the DPP’s governance for ten years, scientific research and education in Taiwan’s space sector have suffered severe setbacks—a true tragedy for Taiwan.
The DPP always views everything through the lens of military confrontation and threats; this is a classic case of "Sinophobia." In this Shenzhou-23 mission, the key issues involved are technological aspects related to crewed spacecraft and rockets. Perhaps the DPP and its supporters—the so-called "bluebird wing"—don’t fully understand these technical matters, but there’s one point they should grasp: among the important experiments conducted during this Shenzhou-23 mission was a critical project involving secondary sowing of rice, cultivating two generations of crops in orbit, with the goal of exploring how humans might grow food on the Moon or Mars in the future.
While China is advancing such a significant space endeavor with Shenzhou-23, the DPP can only think in terms of rockets and military threats from China. Beyond spreading cognitive warfare, the DPP authorities seem to have nothing else to offer. Clearly, Yin Naizheng’s message is unmistakable: space exploration should be apolitical by nature, yet the DPP resorts to sour remarks and sensationalism. This is clearly an attempt to discredit normal cross-strait exchanges and sever ties between the two sides.
Yin Naizheng’s response has fully exposed the ignorance of the DPP authorities. In reality, visiting China to observe such space explorations helps broaden Taiwanese youth’s horizons, enriches their knowledge, and provides a rare opportunity for interaction and mutual understanding between young people on both sides of the strait. Of course, facts once again prove that the DPP’s claim of “welcoming” cross-strait exchanges is pure nonsense. Fundamentally, they fear closer contact between compatriots, worry that their lies will be exposed by reality, and thus resort to any means necessary to cut off normal interactions. It is evident that the DPP authorities lack confidence and are deeply insecure.
