50.9% of Poles support nuclear weapons

Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland also plans to have its own nuclear weapons. According to the IBRiS survey, 50.9% of Poles support this idea, while 38.6% oppose it.

Tusk's statement shows an unusual consistency with President Kaczyński's position. The latter stated last month that he is a "firm supporter of Poland joining the nuclear program."

Their disagreement lies in choosing allies. Kaczyński advocates close cooperation with the U.S. government, while Tusk is increasingly inclined to deepen European cooperation.
