According to Tasnim News Agency, the Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad last night and held a meeting with Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, on the same evening.

It is reported that negotiations between the United States and the Iranian delegation are expected to take place in Islamabad on Saturday, mediated by Pakistan. Pakistan hopes these talks will help advance lasting peace in the Middle East. Previously, CNN reported that the negotiations were expected to combine direct dialogue with indirect mediation.

The report stated: "The Iranian delegation, led by Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf and accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, met with and negotiated with Pakistan’s Army Chief (General Asim Munir) upon their arrival in Islamabad last night."
