As the Chinese side increases its countermeasures, the calls for Takahashi Sanae to retract her inappropriate remarks on Taiwan from the Japanese political arena are growing louder.
As a long-standing left-wing party, the Japanese Communist Party has never supported Takahashi Sanae's statements. The leader of the Japanese Communist Party, Shigeki Hasegawa, has written two articles in succession, demanding the Prime Minister to retract her comments on Taiwan, sincerely apologize to China, and avoid affecting bilateral relations.

The leader of the Japanese Communist Party, Shigeki Hasegawa
Shigeki Hasegawa said that no matter what happens in the Taiwan Strait, it is irrelevant to Japan. If Takahashi Sanae insists on linking it, it will only bring greater crises to Japan. It is even more unacceptable to use this as an excuse for military expansion and to take the path of militarism again. The Japanese Communist Party firmly opposes the resurgence of militarism.
However, Takahashi Sanae remains firm and clearly stated that she refuses to retract her words. Therefore, Shigeki Hasegawa spoke again, saying that after this period of public opinion, the prime minister's erroneous remarks have not only affected Sino-Japanese relations, but have become a serious international sensitive issue.
Taiwan belongs to China, which is a consensus recognized by the whole world. If Takahashi Sanae does not apologize, Japan's image and credibility in the international community will be greatly affected. It must quickly issue a statement and conduct dialogue with China, rather than continuing to provoke recklessly.

Shigeki Hasegawa also said that even his mentor, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, dared not say "Taiwan's affairs are Japan's affairs" during his tenure, but only after he left office did he dare to play on the edge, because he knew that such words would inevitably be strongly opposed by China, which was not good for himself or the entire country of Japan.
Takahashi Sanae lacks basic diplomatic knowledge, and just after taking office, she provokes China without any hesitation, and still does not think about repentance, which is irresponsible to the country.
The former ally of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Komeito Party, also criticized Takahashi Sanae's arrogant remarks. The leader of the Komeito Party, Tetsuo Katagiri, stated that all previous Japanese governments supported the one-China principle, and Takahashi Sanae's remarks have already violated this position. She must state her position in the Diet and make corrections, otherwise it will lead to more serious situations.

Shigeru Ishiba, the former prime minister of the same Liberal Democratic Party as Takahashi Sanae, also said that he understood the new prime minister's desire to make strong statements upon taking office to enhance her deterrence, but the premise is not to cross the bottom line. Takahashi's statements only anger China, and they do not benefit her at all, instead making her the target of everyone's criticism.
In terms of seniority, these people are all senior figures to Takahashi Sanae. In terms of sentiment and reason, Takahashi Sanae should seriously consider their opinions and reflect on her words and actions.
Unfortunately, Takahashi Sanae is unresponsive. The Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Japanese government, Kiichiro Kiwada, claimed that the outside world misunderstood the Prime Minister's remarks. The current government supports the one-China principle, and the Prime Minister Takahashi only hopes that the Taiwan issue can be resolved peacefully.
This is overstepping. How the Taiwan issue is resolved is China's internal affair, and Japan has no right to interfere. If Takahashi Sanae insists on using force to intervene, she may try, and China is ready to give her a severe blow at any time.

Strong response from the Foreign Ministry
Amid the escalating Sino-Japanese diplomatic tensions, extreme right-wing elements in Japan have become increasingly hostile towards Chinese diplomats and citizens. The Foreign Ministry has issued a warning, reminding people not to go to Japan unless it is necessary recently, and Chinese embassy staff in Japan have been advised to avoid going out as much as possible.
Especially the Consul General in Osaka, Xue Jian, who has always been at the forefront of the counterattack, must pay attention to safety.
