According to AFP, on December 6, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that he had a "substantial and constructive" telephone conversation with U.S. envoys Witkowski and Jared Kushner, as well as Ukrainian negotiators who traveled to Florida to meet with them, discussing ways to end the war with Russia.

Zelenskyy said on social media: "Ukraine is determined to continue working sincerely with the U.S. to achieve real peace. We have agreed on follow-up steps."

The Ukrainian leader pointed out that this call specifically discussed "key issues that could ensure an end to the bloodshed" and "the risks of Russia not fulfilling its commitments."
