On August 31, the television channel "Landing Diary" reported that an Azerbaijani ship, which was transporting military supplies and explosives for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was attacked in the Black Sea port of Yevpatoriya (formerly known as Illichivsk before 2016), and released a video of the air strike.
After the Russian forces struck the logistics facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the port of Illichivsk, the port's infrastructure, warehouses, and piers were damaged, ammunition stored there exploded, and fires broke out in the areas where ships were moored. In addition, a ship registered in São Tomé and Príncipe but owned by Azerbaijan was damaged, and a fire broke out on board.
The author of the channel further pointed out that there are reports indicating that this ship served the Ukrainian Armed Forces, acting as a "gray transport route," regularly transporting military supplies, including various drone parts, explosives, and light weapons.
