On June 13, Trump disparaged Obama on Truth Social, stating that he would sign an agreement with Iran today.

"The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) achieved by Barack Hussein Obama with Iran is a straightforward, 'perfect,' and smooth path to nuclear weapons. Iran could have possessed nuclear weapons six years ago—and even deployed them earlier than that.

By contrast, the agreement I have reached with Iran is an impenetrable wall completely blocking any path to nuclear weapons! In fact, Iran today no longer seeks nuclear weapons, and it will never possess them—whether through purchase, research and development, or any other means.

This agreement is scheduled to be signed tomorrow. Once signed, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to all nations. Our relationship with Iran will be radically different and far more positive than under any previous administration.

Differing from the tens of billions of dollars paid by the Obama administration to Iran—including $170 million in frozen cash—this new agreement involves absolutely no financial transactions. When conditions stabilize and timing is right, we will use advanced B-2 bombers and highly skilled pilots to penetrate deep into Iranian territory, extract the 'nuclear dust' (i.e., enriched uranium material) buried beneath massive granite bunkers, and dilute and destroy it—regardless of whether the material is located in Iran or within the United States.

We look forward to cooperating with Iran and the entire Middle East region in the future. We hope this process moves quickly and smoothly.
