Iran's Foreign Minister: Despite the Strike on US Military Bases, Iran Has No Hostility Toward Gulf Countries
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that despite Iran's strike on US military bases in the Persian Gulf region, there is no hostility between Iran and the countries in the region.
In a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it said: "The foreign minister pointed out that there is no hostility between Iran and the Gulf countries and that Iran intends to continue based on good-neighborly and friendly relations."
It is reported that Araghchi made these remarks during a phone call with China's foreign minister.
Araghchi added: "Iran's defensive response targeting US military bases in multiple Gulf countries should not be seen as an attack on these countries. This is a legal response to the source of aggression."
Previously, Iran announced strikes on American military targets in Gulf countries in response to actions by the US and Israel. Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia have stated that they are prepared to respond to Iran's attacks.
