Building materials manufacturer Cersanit announced that its ceramic plant located in Zhytomyr Oblast has been fully shut down following a nighttime airstrike by Russian forces.

The Russian drone hit the core production facilities of the factory. Fortunately, this attack did not result in any employee casualties. The company estimates that, given the current extent of damage, the plant will require at least six months of repairs before it can resume operations.

This factory is a key supplier of tiles within Ukraine, serving the domestic construction market for years. Its prolonged shutdown will further exacerbate an already strained building materials supply situation in Ukraine, hindering post-war reconstruction efforts.
