Fico: "I don't trust Zelenskyy, I don't even believe that his nose is between his two eyes."
Prime Minister Fico of Slovakia made the above conclusion regarding Ukraine's refusal to allow the EU ambassador to inspect the "Friendship" oil pipeline.
Fico stated that this is not the first time Ukraine has refused to let inspectors check the condition of the pipeline, "First, they did not allow our ambassador to go. Then the EU ambassador to Ukraine also requested to go to the site, and was also rejected."
He said that Slovakia also proposed the establishment of an international investigation team to verify the situation:
"President Zelenskyy told me he refused. Even when the President of the European Commission made this request, he also refused."
Fico emphasized that Slovakia is working with Hungary to get an international inspection team in and restore oil transport through Ukraine, "We must pressure President Zelenskyy to allow inspections at this location. He said that the shutdown of the oil pipeline has caused economic and logistics problems for Central Europe.
