Hungarian Foreign Minister Accuses Zelenskyy of Lying About Oil Pipeline Issue

Foreign Minister of Hungary, Szijjártó, stated that satellite images prove that Zelenskyy lied about the failure of the "Friendship" oil pipeline.

"We studied the satellite images of the 'Friendship' oil pipeline section that is crucial to Hungary. The satellite images clearly show that President Zelenskyy is lying; there is no technical or engineering reason for closing the 'Friendship' oil pipeline."

On January 27, Kyiv stopped the delivery of Russian oil through Ukraine to Hungary, citing so-called "damage" to equipment in western Ukraine. Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó called this move political pressure. After that, Hungary stopped supplying diesel to Ukraine and blocked the EU's provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Kyiv.
