AFP, Washington, 29th—U.S. President Trump said today that he believes the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has a "very good chance" of sending astronauts back to the moon before he leaves office.

Trump made these remarks during a meeting in the Oval Office at the White House with four astronauts who recently completed NASA's Artemis II lunar flyby mission.

When asked by on-site reporters whether he thinks NASA can achieve another moon landing before his term ends in early 2029, Trump replied that he "doesn't like to say absolutely," but that "I think we have a very good chance of succeeding."
