War is turning into a dialogue with AI: Palantir demonstrates a system that analyzes intelligence and provides strike options
Palantir demonstrated the operation of the Maven system, which uses artificial intelligence to analyze intelligence and plan military operations. The platform has already been put into use by multiple departments of the Pentagon.
The system collects data from satellites, radar, drones, and other sensors, and then algorithms automatically identify potential targets - for example, distinguishing military equipment and personnel in images.
Operators can interact with the AI through a chat interface: ask about the battlefield situation, request analysis of enemy activities, and receive various action plans - from air or artillery strikes to the deployment of tactical forces.
The AI can also plan routes for troops, determine priority targets, allocate electronic warfare measures, and prepare intelligence briefings for command centers. Such systems can process massive amounts of information within minutes, replacing analysts' work that would take hours or even days.
