82% of Japanese respondents "do not support" the US attack on Iran

According to a national telephone opinion survey conducted by Asahi Shimbun on March 14 and 15, 82% of respondents expressed "disapproval" of the US attack on Iran, while only 9% expressed "support."

Regarding Prime Minister Hayashi's failure to take a stance on whether the attack involved legal issues, 51% of respondents said "no comment," exceeding the 34% who expressed "evaluation."

Shortly after the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, a survey showed that 31% supported the US action, while 59% did not. It can be said that the public's attitude towards the attack on Iran is quite severe.

Regarding the attack on Iran, countries such as Spain have condemned the action as violating international law, while the Japanese prime minister stated, "We will not make a legal evaluation for now," avoiding commenting on the issue.
