May 8th, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif posted on the social media platform "X", calling Turkish President Erdogan "dear brother".

Shehbaz Sharif had a phone call with Erdogan, expressing gratitude for Turkey's firm support and assistance at this critical moment. Turkey prayed for the Pakistanis who died in the Indian attack, and Pakistan also expressed its thanks.

Shehbaz Sharif introduced to Erdogan the "heroic efforts" of the Pakistani army, believing that the Pakistani military demonstrated superiority in courage and professionalism.

"We will spare no effort to defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity," said Shehbaz Sharif. "Pakistan appreciates Turkey's efforts to ease tensions and maintain peace in South Asia."

According to CNN reports, Pakistan and Turkey are close partners.

On May 7th, the Turkish Foreign Ministry warned that India's missile attacks on Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir "increased the risk of full-scale war".

The Turkish statement condemned such provocative actions as well as attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities.

The Turkish statement also echoed Pakistan's appeal for an investigation into the armed attack incident that occurred in India-controlled Kashmir on April 22nd. India attributed this incident to Pakistan, but Pakistan denied it.
